Every spring new people move to the island of Okinawa replacing friends who have to leave. I am sharing pictures of my friend Amy Culbertson who will be leaving me shortly. I have been so blessed over these past 12 years, while married to Scott and to the military, to have met so many wonderful people. I thank God every day for sisters away from sisters. Okinawa has been a great place to live because of my Amy. I am going to miss her. But as Scott comforts me he says, "Melinda they have to leave so that we can leave." Well our time will come and I will be sad all over again. Man, this life is such an emotional rollercoaster!
